The 2021 Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Ile de Vergelesses is lovely, wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet red berries and cherries mingled with orange zest, warm spices and peonies. Medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, with good concentration and a bright, vibrant profile, this will repay some bottle age.

Very young and compact. There's quality in here but it is highly compressed at present. Perhaps a bit over-extracted. (RH)
