Vinous Antonio Galloni - 25 Nov 25
The NV (2022) Extra Brut Petit Meslier is a soft, open-knit Champagne that will likely offer its best drinking on the early side. Lemon confit, white flowers, marzipan and spice are nicely delineated. The brisk acids that make Petit Meslier so distinctive are a bit attenuated in this release. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: November 2024; multiple disgorgements throughout the year.

Robert Parker Wine Advocate William Kelley - 23 Sep 21
Based on the 2018 vintage, with some 40% reserve wines from 2017, the NV Extra-Brut Petit Meslier comes from young vines in Chavot. Offering up generous aromas of pear, honeyed orchard fruit, buttered toast and nuts, it's medium to full-bodied, with an impressively satiny attack for this variety and an unsurprisingly racy spine of acidity. It's more than just a curio.

Champagne

Champagne, exclusively from France's Champagne region, is synonymous with luxury and celebration. Made primarily from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, it undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle, creating its signature bubbles. Flavours range from crisp green apple and citrus to rich, toasty notes of nuts and honey. Yeast contact in the bottle contributes to pastry and brioche notes, which are a key part of good quality Champagne. Top producers include Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, and Krug.
