Now in bottle, the 2023 Petit Chablis is delivering more than its modest origins imply. The wine rises from the glass with aromas of orange peel, pear and white flowers. On the palate, it reveals a generous, fleshy core of fruit energized by tangy acidity, lending the wine surprising gravitas. The finish is long, vibrant and mouthwatering. This is a Petit Chablis that punches above its weight.

Chablis

Chablis, the northernmost Burgundy region, is famed for its crisp, mineral-driven Chardonnay wines. Unlike rich, oaky Chardonnays, Chablis wines, influenced by the cool climate and limestone-rich soils, feature vibrant acidity and flavours of green apple, citrus, and flint. Ideal with seafood, especially oysters, Chablis wines come in four appellations: Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru, and Chablis Grand Cru. Esteemed producers like Domaine William Fèvre, François Raveneau, and Vincent Dauvissat are known for their classic, terroir-expressive wines.
