Vinous Neal Martin - 25 Mar 25
The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts 1er Cru presents an understated bouquet that requires coaxing from the glass, revealing a mélange of dark berry fruit, wild hedgerow and light leafy scents. It shows fine delineation and is very pretty. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, offering more depth than the Les Hauts Mazières and a harmonious finish. It's certainly more suited for early drinking than previous vintages, yet it translates Clavelier's classy winemaking.
