The 2023 Meursault Village has a pretty bouquet with apricot blossom and touches of candle wax. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, although it doesn't quite deliver the complexity of the best Meursaults that I have encountered this vintage.

Meursault Fine Wine

Meursault

Meursault, in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, is famed for its rich and complex Chardonnay wines. Known for opulent textures, vibrant acidity, and nutty, buttery flavours with notes of stone fruits, citrus, and hazelnuts, these wines also feature a subtle minerality and creamy mouthfeel from limestone-rich soils and oak ageing. Though lacking Grand Cru vineyards, Premier Cru sites like Les Perrières, Les Genevrières, and Les Charmes produce exceptional wines. Top producers include Domaine des Comtes Lafon, Domaine Roulot, and Domaine Coche-Dury, all celebrated for showcasing Meursault's unique terroir.
