Vinous Antonio Galloni - 01 Jan 14
The 2010 Barbera d'Alba Pozzo is stunningly beautiful. Violets, lavender, dark cherries, plums, tobacco and menthol all flesh out in an aboslutely impeccable, gracious Barbera loaded with class and elegance. Striking in its perfume and totally sexy, the 2010 impresses for its pedigree, class and nuance. In 2010, the Barbera was aged half in barrel and half in barrique, which gives it a much more classic feel than other recent vintages. The 2010 boasts great depth, intense color and fabulous overall balance. What a marvelous wine this is! The Pozzo is only available in magnum.
