Vinous Josh Raynolds - 01 Mar 13
Opaque ruby. Smoky, mineral-accented aromas of dark fruit liqueur, incense and floral oils, with an intense spicy topnote. Offers an array of sweet dark berry and floral pastille flavors and becomes sweeter with air. Rich, lively, with superb finishing clarity, supple tannins and lingering floral and spice notes. Very concentrated but lithe, and built to age.

Grown on steep, sun-drenched slopes, these wines are known for their intensity and depth, featuring flavours of dark berries, black pepper, smoked meat, and earthy notes, with strong tannins and excellent ageing potential. Cornas focuses exclusively on 100% Syrah, with granite soils adding to its complexity.
