Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Jan 11
(deep clay soil with calcaire-like in Gevrey, notes Clavelier) Medium bright red. Aromas of cherry, menthol, lavender and Mediterranean flowers, plus a note of spicy oak. Less dense and more juicy in the mouth than the Combe Brulee, but without the same mineral tension. Ultimately a rather generous, spherical style but with the tannins showing today.
