L’If 2013 has a medium garnet color, with a touch of brick. It slips out with seductive scents of spice cake, clove oil, and preserved plums, followed by hints of potpourri and cigar box. Medium-bodied, the palate delivers a good amount of spicy black and red berry preserve flavors, with a lively backbone and soft tannins, finishing peppery.

Saint-Emilion

Saint-Émilion, a historic Bordeaux Right Bank appellation, is known for rich, robust red wines primarily from Merlot and Cabernet Franc. These wines feature deep colour, lush texture, and complex flavours of ripe plum, black cherry, blackberry, with hints of chocolate, licorice, and earth. They have smooth tannins and balanced acidity, making them both approachable and age-worthy. Top producers include Château Cheval Blanc, Château Ausone, Château Angélus, and Château Pavie, all renowned for their exceptional quality and diverse expressions of Saint-Émilion's bold character.
