Pale bright yellow. Subdued but very pure aromas of fresh stone fruits, peach pit, menthol and wet stone. Sweet, rich and generous, showing more harmonious acidity today than the Genevrieres. Shut down dramatically in the glass but this should still provide pleasure earlier than the Genevrieres, which is a tad finer but will need time to knit.

Meursault

Meursault, in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, is famed for its rich and complex Chardonnay wines. Known for opulent textures, vibrant acidity, and nutty, buttery flavours with notes of stone fruits, citrus, and hazelnuts, these wines also feature a subtle minerality and creamy mouthfeel from limestone-rich soils and oak ageing. Though lacking Grand Cru vineyards, Premier Cru sites like Les Perrières, Les Genevrières, and Les Charmes produce exceptional wines. Top producers include Domaine des Comtes Lafon, Domaine Roulot, and Domaine Coche-Dury, all celebrated for showcasing Meursault's unique terroir.
