Vinous Antonio Galloni - 01 Oct 17
The 2012 Barolo Villero is one of the more successful wines in the range. Red stone fruit, spice, leather and orange peel give the wine its attractive upper register. It would be nice to see a little more mid-palate depth and persistence.

Barolo Vineyard Fine Wine

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
