The 2014 Puligny Montrachet les Tremblots has quite an arresting bouquet in the offering, with gorgeous peach skin and nectarine scents that are extremely well defined. The palate is very well balanced with crisp acidity, very saline in the mouth with just a hint of bitter lemon. I like the energy and precision here, a complex Puligny that has the potential to be "a little gem" once in bottle.

Distinctly greenish straw. Crystal clear. Some sweetness of fruit and creaminess on the nose but, unusually, struck match on the finish. Lots tucked in here. Textbook stuff. (JR)
