Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Mar 99
Impressively deep red-ruby color. Knockout nose combines black raspberry, black cherry, exotic spices, coffee, minerals, chocolate and game. Huge volume and sweetness for a '96; really superb balance of sugars and acids. Strong underlying structure is covered by fruit. Palate-staining finish goes on and on.
