The 2014 VS is a very elegant vintage for this bottling, with a harmonious nose, integrated oak and a polished palate that reveals great harmony and balance. A superb showing for this wine. Some 37,000 bottles produced.

Opaque ruby. A heady bouquet evokes red and dark berry preserves, candied flowers, vanilla and incense, and a spicy overtone builds as the wine opens up. Sappy and expansive in the mouth, offering appealingly sweet blackberry, cherry-vanilla and boysenberry flavors along with suggestions of cola, mocha and licorice. Velvety tannins frame the dark-berry-dominated finish, which hangs on with outstanding tenacity and repeating florality.
