Fermented in 350-litre oak. Very calcareous and pebbly. Bottom of the hill, on the Puligny side. Light soils. 45-year-old vines. Barrel sample.Deliciously creamy aroma with a light spice and clementine notes. But chalky too. Intense and quite open. Super-intense bright, ripe lemon, with just a hint of charry reduction on the aftertaste. Great purity of fruit that holds its head above the oak but the oak contributes to the texture and fabulous length. (JH)
