Robert Parker Wine Advocate Erin Brooks - 15 Mar 22
Pale ruby-garnet, the 2019 Pinot Noir Sanford & Benedict Vineyard has singular aromas of wild strawberries and blackberries with nuances of allspice, dried flowers, citrus peel and autumn leaves. The palate is light-bodied and fresh with an alluring flourish of spices, delicate, transparent fruits and a long, graphite-laced finish.

Vinous Antonio Galloni - 25 Aug 22
The 2019 Pinot Noir Sanford and Benedict Vineyard Santa Barbara Historic Vineyards Collection shows the more savory side of this site. Cedar, sweet pipe tobacco, licorice, dried herbs and crushed red berry fruit are nicely lifted. This is an especially savory, perfumed expression of S and B Pinot, despite the use of fully destemmed fruit in this bottling.

Ripe redcurrant and cranberry fruit, stemmy and fragrant with milk chocolate and fresh herbal complexity. Very Pinot, very California – all that pristine fruit, well-handled oak and a long iodine finish. (RH)
