The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru is very harmonious on the nose with dark cherries and violet aromas, the 100% new oak neatly assimilated. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit and perhaps here the oak just impedes a little. There is some lovely fruit, very sensual in texture, but it will require 4-5 years to subsume the oak.
