Jancis Robinson Jancis Robinson - 19 Nov 13
Vineyard soil: galets, sand, clay-limestone. Grape varieties: 80% Grenache, 5% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, 3% Cinsault, 2% Counoise. Dark crimson. Racy energy on the nose somehow. Black cherry fruit flavours then something a bit drying and severe about the palate. This wine is a bit of a brooding monster. Will the tannins always dominate, I wonder? (JR)
