Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Nov 07
Good full medium red. Perfumed aromas of raspberry, marzipan, flowers and truffley underbrush. Suave, dry and firmly built, combining lovely sweetness and very good inner-mouth energy. Finishes long and shapely, with a suggestion of exotic fruits and tannins that are a bit youthfully tough.

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
