The 2022 Morey-Saint-Denis Monts Luisants Blanc 1er Cru has a little more charm than I found on the 2021 last year. Hints of lemon verbena, chai and white chocolate furnish the nose that is subtle in style and appears to "grow" in the glass. The palate is fresh and vibrant with a lime-infused entry. There’s fine bitter lemon edginess here with a touch of reduction towards the slightly pithy finish.

Morey-Saint-Denis Fine Wine

Morey-Saint-Denis

Morey-Saint-Denis, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is known for its elegant, well-structured Pinot Noir wines that balance the power of Gevrey-Chambertin and the finesse of Chambolle-Musigny. These wines feature flavours of red and black fruits, earthy spices, and floral notes, with refined tannins and excellent ageing potential. Home to five Grand Cru vineyards, including Clos de Tart and Clos Saint-Denis, top producers like Domaine Dujac, Domaine Ponsot, and Domaine des Lambrays are celebrated for their traditional winemaking and expressive wines.
