The 2018 Saint-Aubin Derrière Chez Edouard Haut Densité 1er Cru was poured from magnum by Olivier Lamy. This has quite an intense bouquet with more white pithy fruit, pear and Granny Smith apples shrugging off the warmth of that growing season quite nonchalantly. The palate is well balanced with a malic entry, slightly oily in texture, fanning out nicely towards the finish with a touch of black pepper on the aftertaste. Excellent.
