Vinous Neal Martin - 22 Nov 22
The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet La Boudriotte 1er Cru sports a very slight reduction that soon blows off. Well-defined citrus fruit, touches of beeswax and a hint of honeysuckle underneath which lies mineralité. The palate is well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity, slightly tangy with a saline aftertaste. This represents a more cerebral take on the vintage and it should age well in bottle. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 white tasting.

The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Boudriotte reveals aromas of crisp yellow orchard fruit, white peach, apple blossom and clear honey. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's charming and enveloping, with an elegantly fleshy core, succulent acids and a mouthwatering finish.
