2010 Diebolt Vallois - Millesime & Fleur de Passion

We have long bought the wines of Jacques Diebolt and think they are some of the best value on the market, so we are pleased to offer the truly excellent Millesime & Fleur de Passion 2010 for sale.

Richard Juhlin, the renowned Champagne writer, awards them with four stars - hailing the style as combining the depth of Le Mesnil and creamy structure of Cramant. With around 70,000 bottles produced each year across the range, these are truly small scale Champagnes made with real care and attention.

The 2010 Diebolt Vallois is very much open for business ten years on from the harvest - It has a gorgeous zippy palate with open knit fruit and excellent direction.

The landed price of £148 per 6 in bond makes it even more compelling. This equates to a bottle price of £33 incl VAT, which for vintage Champagne makes this cheaper than most Grandes Marques non-vintage champagnes.

We also have the 2010 Fleur de Passion, in small quantities. At a recent tasting the Fleur de Passion is very much destined for the cellar. It is tightly wound at this stage and will benefit from 5/10 years in the cellar. The pedigree is however, on show and it will reward those with patience!

2010 Diebolt Vallois Millesime

£148 per 6 bottles in bond

Lovely golden colour with fine bubbles. The nose is beautifully creamy with biscuit & brioche showing off the wines extended cellar ageing. Layers reveal baked apples and a touch of cinnamon. The palate is clean and crisp with great vibrancy of acidity. As with the nose, it is open and very much ready to drink - rich and racy. Diebolt have done the hard work in ageing the 2010 supremely, all there is left to do is enjoy it! Brilliant! (Seckford Wines, March 2020)
