Brilliant magenta. Powerful, mineral-accented blackberry and cherry scents, along with suggestions of licorice and potpourri. Concentrated but energetic as well, offering gently sweet red/blue fruit, violet and spicecake flavors that become livelier as the wine opens up. Smoothly plays depth off of vivacity and finishes spicy and very long, with impressive thrust and harmonious tannins.

A cool and pure nose of essence of red berries, earth and soft spice aromas and if this was served blind it wouldn't necessarily be obvious that this was 100% Gamay. The sleek, delicious and notably vibrant flavours offer both food depth and length on the dusty and ever-so-mildly rustic finale. This too is quite good.
