The 2015 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos Solon has a punchy, vivacious bouquet with kirsch, orange zest and a punnet of freshly picked strawberries, all well defined and showing more vigor than the Chambolle-Musigny Villages at this stage. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a little grainy in texture with red plum and strawberry notes towards the finish, a dash of brown spice on the aftertaste. Fine, but probably a more early-drinking wine than something I would lay down.
