The 2010 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru les Amoureuses has a complex, very appealing bouquet with subtle earthy aromas infusing the well defined red berry fruit. There is a touch of Hoisin here, a drop of balsamic and a slightly Oriental tone. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, crisp acidity and quite a masculine, tobacco-tinged, slightly disjointed finish. It is a very strict and correct Amoureuses, and I would have liked more ""Pinoté"" to come through on the finish à la more recent vintages.
