Nuits St Georges
We are delighted to offer a superb parcel of Nuits-St-Georges, all lying in the Seckford cellars. Nuits is a village that often offers brilliant value for money drinking.
The wines of Nuits-St-Georges display a wonderful complexity and rustic finesse, etc. Age-worthy, with younger vintages in particular accessible from an early age.
Some of our favourites below such as 2011 Pruliers from Jean Grivot and 2005 Porrets from Gouges are drinking beautifully now. Added to that wines such as Les Saint George from Thibault Liger-Belair would be excellent additions to the cellar.

Burghound:” Drag always seems to produce an excellent wine with this cru and '08 is no exception. Deeply colored. The elegant and very pure nose of ripe black cherry and violet aromas introduces rich, delicious, stony, complex and quite serious medium-bodied flavors drive into a lingering and mouth coating finish of considerable persistence. This and the Vaucrains are the class of the cellar in 2008.”

Burghound: “There is lovely complexity to the subtly spiced and distinctly earthy red currant and plum suffused nose. There is plenty of verve and mid-palate concentration to the intense and seductively textured flavors that offer both good size and weight, all wrapped in a firm, balanced and persistent finish. This displays enough Nuits character to remain true to the terroir yet there is virtually no rusticity.”
