The 2013 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Boudots has a fresh bouquet that is well defined with demonstrated nicely integrated oak. The palate is very silky in texture with a touch of spice tincturing the vibrant red berry fruit. There is commendable structure towards the finish with a pinch of white pepper on the aftertaste. This is one of Dominique Mugneret's best contributions to the vintage.

Nuits-Saint-Georges

Nuits-Saint-Georges, a renowned appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is famous for its robust, structured Pinot Noir wines with rich flavours of dark cherries, blackberries, and plums, along with earthy, spicy notes. Known for firm tannins and full-bodied character, these wines are ideal for ageing. Although lacking Grand Cru vineyards, Premier Cru sites like Les Saint-Georges and Les Vaucrains produce exceptional wines. Top producers include Domaine Henri Gouges, Domaine Faiveley, and Domaine Robert Chevillon, all celebrated for showcasing the unique terroir with traditional winemaking.
