Tasting Notes

Robert Parker Wine Advocate William Kelley - 18 Jan 24
The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes is a beauty, bursting with aromas of red cherries, raspberries, rose petals and spices. Medium to full-bodied, supple and sensual, with a deep core of pure, vibrant fruit framed by bright acids and supple tannins, it concludes with a saline finish.

Vinous Neal Martin - 17 Jan 24
The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru has a pure and perfumed bouquet with pastille-like red cherries and strawberries unfurling from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with granular tannins and a touch of sour cherry, light on its feet with an open finish. This should drink earlier than its peers, though I am sure it will gain weight in its second winter.

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
